Our founder: Alison B. Flynn
Alison B. Flynn is a coach with a rare combination of skill, humor, education, creativity, leadership, emotional intelligence and personality with close to 20 years of real work experience. She is the founder of Sounding Board 4 Life, LLC, a professional career and life coaching firm.
Prior to creating Sounding Board 4 Life, LLC, Ms. Flynn has held entry, mid and senior management level positions within the health care, higher-education and retail industries. Ms. Flynn also has experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit settings. She is a proven leader with a savvy, result’s oriented style. Alison has built a consistent track record of managing multi-million dollar projects and leading large groups of people toward successful outcomes. Alison has helped hundreds of individuals improve their career outlook, management styles and outcomes, as well as, achieve their personal goals. Throughout her career, she has also been involved in several volunteer/public service capacities and has been publishing since 1996.
Ms. Flynn holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Health Care Administration from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. In 2005, she was appointed to the Faculty of the Health Care Programs at Iona’s School of Arts and Sciences as Adjunct Associate Professor. In 2008, Alison completed the Columbia Coaching External Coaching Intensive program (view certificate). Alison is also a Board Member of the Department of Health Care Administration Professional Advisory Board. Ms. Flynn is a Certified Materials Resource Professional, an advisor to the Council of Healthcare Advisors-Gerson Lehrman Group, and has lectured on the topics of leadership, team building and supply chain management. A life-long believer in education, Ms. Flynn continues to add to her toolbox by taking classes at New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies and Columbia University’s Teachers College School of Continuing and Professional Studies, Columbia Business School and Executive Education Division.
Alison holds member status in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM). In 2006, she was elected to the Board of Iona College’s Alumni Association.
Alison B. Flynn is Member of The Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches and the International Coach Federation.
A native New Yorker, Ms. Flynn lives in Westchester County.
